The Driver-Guide for your Edinburgh shore excursion will meet you at South Queensferry port. We kindly ask all passengers to ensure they are 15 minutes early.
No, optional extras are not included in the tour price.
The price of your shore excursion includes the services of a friendly, knowledgeable and experienced Driver-Guide, and transportation on one of our luxury coaches.
All optional extras – attraction entrance fees and meals – are not included in the price of your tour and are payable on the day of travel. This is to allow our guests the freedom to choose which optional extras they would like to take part in on the day.

No, you don't need to worry about pre-booking any of the optional extras.
We also offer Fast-Track tickets for attractions, allowing you to skip the queue. These tickets are only available when booked and paid for in advance. Please contact our friendly Reservations Team for more information.

Your trip to Edinburgh will be taken by an experienced, knowledgeable and friendly English-speaking Driver-Guide.
As we like to give you as much time off the coach as possible with the opportunity for walks, we recommend you bring warm and/or waterproof clothing, wear comfortable walking shoes and take sun-block or a hat for sunny days.
We welcome children over 5 years old on our tours, and children aged between 5-16yrs are eligible for the concessionary rate.
We regret we are not able to carry children under the age of 5 on any of our Edinburgh shore excursions.
We always ensure passengers return back to their port on time, however in the rare case we can't make it, we will transfer you to your next port of call.
Enjoy a one-day Edinburgh shore excursion from South Queensferry port, exploring the ancient capital city of Scotland. Spend time visiting the Royal Yacht Britannia, visit Holyrood Palace, home to Mary, Queen of Scots, learn all about the secrets of the Royal Mile, and visit the historic Edinburgh Castle, named the UK’s best heritage attraction.
Upon leaving South Queensferry port, you will journey to the famous Royal Yacht Britannia*, home to Her Majesty the Queen for over 40 years, and have the chance to see what life was like on board for the Royal Family and their guests
Your Edinburgh Shore Excursion will then travel to the Palace of Holyroodhouse*, the official residence of the British Royal Family in Scotland. This baroque palace is full of history and is perhaps best known as the home of Mary, Queen of Scots, and was the setting for many dramatic episodes during her short and turbulent reign.

After which, you will then be taken on a panoramic tour around the city, introducing you to the best sightseeing spots the capital of Scotland has to offer.
We will travel to the Royal Mile to visit historic Edinburgh Castle*, Scotland’s most iconic castle and named the UK’s best heritage attraction in 2014. Spend time touring the castle, learn all about its history and even see the famous Stone of Destiny; the traditional crowning seat of the ancient Scottish monarchs.
After a tour of the Castle, enjoy free time for refreshments and explore Castlehill, the city’s oldest street, and discover one of the many atmospheric ‘closes’ or alleys running off the back-bone of the Royal Mile, and attractions such as St Giles Cathedral.
After the tour, your trip to Edinburgh will return to South Queensferry port, where your Edinburgh shore excursion concludes.
