Earlier this year, we here at Timberbush Tours introduced the newest part of our business: Balmoral Executive Travel. Read on to learn the story of how Balmoral came to be, and how they can help meet your business and leisure travel needs.

25 years ago, the Timberbush Tours story began in Edinburgh, when husband and wife team Gary and June took a couple of passengers up to Oban to explore the beautiful seaside town. With a desire to show off the very best of every corner of Scotland to the world, Timberbush Tours was born.

Over time, we welcomed more passengers on board, got a few more coaches, and some of the best drivers around, and added more and more destinations and tours, opening Scotland up to the world. Throughout the past 25 years, the desire to give the best tours of Scotland has stayed in the company, and to this day it remains a family-run business.

The company has grown naturally as well, from just offering a small range of scheduled tours, to now offering well over 25 regularly scheduled tours, and expanding to include a Private Hire and Coach Hire department. Meaning that no matter where our guests want to go in Scotland, even if it isn’t on any of our scheduled itineraries, we can take them there. Or, if they simply want to hire a coach and a driver for a transfer, or business trip, or even a presidential motorcade, that’s always an option.

Our Private Hire department has always been an exciting one. There’s nothing we love more than seeing where you want to go. No matter whether you are looking for a private tour of Scotland to explore its rugged coastlines, sample some award-winning whisky at world-renowned distilleries, or even play a few holes on some of the many championship golf courses in Scotland. When you book with Timberbush Tours, our expert itinerary planners work hard to make your dream tour a reality.

Our private hire department offers coaches that range from 10 to 53 seats, but from time to time, even 10 seats is just a bit too much.

We wanted to offer our customers something a bit more compact, with a touch of added luxury. We introduced the newest branch of the Timberbush business; Balmoral Executive Travel.

Balmoral Executive Travel is the natural extension of Timberbush Tours’ Private Hire department.

With Balmoral Executive Travel, whether you are looking for business travel solutions, or leisure travel, our expert itinerary planners and chauffeurs will ensure that no matter the nature of your journey - it will be delivered with excellence.

Rather than coaches, Balmoral Executive Travel has a range of luxury Mercedes-Benz vehicles, accommodating between 1-7 passengers.

The Balmoral Executive Travel Fleet

The V-Class is the largest vehicle that Balmoral offers. It holds up to 7 passengers with 5 medium cases, which makes it the ideal vehicle for larger client meetings or bigger touring groups, perhaps even larger families or university groups. Its ample space allows for extra legroom to stretch out in between meetings or the stops as you take in some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery on a bespoke tour. This vehicle may also be more suitable for smaller groups who may have more luggage, for example, if you were to embark on a tour that takes in some of the many championship golf courses that Scotland has to offer like quite a few bookings did recently when the 152nd Open Championship visited Royal Troon.

The GLE is Mercedes’ answer to the Range Rover and boasts fantastic space and some of the most modern technology. The GLE can comfortably hold up to 4 adults each with a medium suitcase.

The E-Class is renowned for its impeccable comfort and safety. It comfortably holds 3 adults with 2 large suitcases. Not only that, but the E-Class boasts an environmentally friendly engine. This is a huge benefit as it means that while you’re travelling between meetings or exploring the country, you will be doing less damage to the environment, something we’re extremely passionate about both here at Timberbush Tours and in Balmoral Executive Travel. The S-Class is Balmoral Executive Travel’s most luxurious car and the pinnacle of modern chauffeur cars. This top-of-the-range vehicle holds 3 adults with 2 large cases. It has amenities including ambient lighting, leather-trimmed seats, and zonal air conditioning, as well as a distinctively elegant appearance - which is enhanced by the classy graphite grey colour that adorns all of the Balmoral vehicles. Ensuring no matter where you go, and for whatever reason, you arrive in timeless style.

Of course, thanks to the fact that Balmoral are part of Timberbush, should there ever be an occasion in which you need a bit more capacity than what Balmoral alone could offer, there is always the option to utilise a Timberbush coach alongside the booking. You can be guaranteed that you will receive impeccable service from both.
