In short - as bespoke as you'd like! We build an itinerary around your preferences and requests. We offer advice for locations and driving times, etc, so we can make the most comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable tour for you! We have over 25 years' experience in organising all different kinds of private tours; from transfers to ancestral tours, from film locations to whisky tours, and from Nessie hunting to island hopping!

No! Our Private Hire Department are experts in Scotland and as part of their service, they offer free itinerary planning to make sure your private tour is tailor-made to your interests.

We accept payment by all major credit/debit cards and bank transfer. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is required one month prior to departure.

If you book less than a month from departure, full payment is required on reserving your Private Tour.

This all depends on you! We usually quote for the cost of the hire of one of our modern coaches, the services of the Driver-Guide, fuel and taxes. Other costs such as entry to attractions, accommodation and meals are additional, however we may be able to reserve these in advance and add to your invoice. Just ask us at the time of booking!

Unfortunately plans do change and cancellations can happen. Our policy is as follows:

Single Day Hires

• For cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure, no refund will be provided.
• For cancellations made more than 48 hours before departure, a full refund will be given minus an administration fee of 20%.

Multi Day Hires

• For cancellations made less than 7 days before departure, there will be no refund.
• For cancellations made between 8-14 days before departure, a full refund will be given minus an administration fee of 50%.
• For cancellations made more than 14 days before departure, a full refund will be given minus an administration fee of 20%.
• In addition, any feed paid or due to hotels/B&Bs/attractions/ferries will be deducted prior to a refund being given.

Whilst Timberbush maintains insurance meeting all statutory requirements, we strongly recommend that passengers hold comprehensive and suitable travel, medical and cancellation insurance to cover for eventualities during travel.

We'll collect you from wherever you like! Your hotel, a restaurant, a location in Scotland! As long as you tell us in advance, we can organise it for you.

Yes, but unfortunately we can't guarantee they'll be available; especially at short notice!

Yes of course! This is usually at an additional cost. Please contact us to discuss your requirements

Yes, we have some of the most knowledgeable Driver-Guides in the business! They will commentate on your journey, the sights you're passing and attractions you're visiting. They will tell you historical stories, myths, legends alongside all of the practical information you need whilst on tour.

If you'd rather, you can just book a driver, who won't offer commentary. This is a common option for airport and business transfers.

Yes! We aim to make your stay in Scotland as comfortable as possible, so we are happy to arrange a convenient airport transfer to and from your hotel.

Usually we advise one medium sized suitcase per person, especially if you're booking a 16 seat vehicle for 16 people! If you have a lot of luggage, please let us know and we'll organise the right size vehicle for your group.

Yes! On Private Tours we can cater for children of all ages. If your group does have an infant, we kindly ask you to let us know the age when booking so we can arrange a suitable car seat.
