It's no surprise then, that there has been huge anticipation for the series to hit both American and British television screens. So much so, that Outlander has been commissioned for a second series already! It has been announced this week that the show will finally hit UK screens via Amazon Instant Video in the coming weeks.
For those who don't know the story; a nurse from 1946 is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743 and finds herself in an unknown world. She meets a handsome Jacobite warrior, Jamie Fraser, and is torn between two different worlds.
The series has been described as Scotland's answer to Game of Thrones (novels by George R.R. Martin), and has created quite a buzz in our HQ! Some of our Driver-Guides are also big fans and can't wait to show budding Outlander enthusiasts the filming locations in Scotland:
